Columbus Blue Jackets: Former goalie Curtis Sanford has signed with Lokomotiv of the KHL.
The Blue Jackets will seek for a number one goalie. Sergei Bobrovsky, Jonas Gustavsson, Josh Harding, Scott Clemmensen and Martin Biron all come to mind.
Washington Capitals: SKA GM Alexei Kasatonov confirmed that they will compete for Alexander Semin on July 1st.
Florida Panthers: Will look to trade the rights to defenseman Jason Garrison if they are unable to re-sign him.
Montreal Canadiens: Have named Michel Therrien their new head coach.
Philadelphia Flyers: Were interested in Vokoun but cap issues held them back until July 1st.
Ottawa Senators: Kuba is 36 years old and may be looking for a 3 year deal. Sergei Gonchar will make $5.5 million and GM Bryan Murray will be looking to move him, though it will be unlikely that someone wants him at that number.
Vancouver Canucks: Talks between the Canucks and Cory Schneider are on hold until they decide what to do with Roberto Luongo. He won’t sign for as long of term as long as Luongo is there.
Edmonton Oilers: There have been little talks between the Oilers and Devan Dubnyk.
