Scott Darling stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday’s 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old doesn’t play often, but he’s been effective when counted on lately. He’s won three straight contests. Darling has a 5-3-2 record with a 2.45 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage this season.
Darling earned a shootout win in his only matchup against Florida on February 24th, racking up 34 saves.
- Florida Panthers -> Roberto Luongo
Roberto Luongo will start between the pipes tonight. Luongo will try to end his three-game losing streak. He has a 2.18 goals against average and .927 save percentage in 36 contests so far in 2015-16.
Blackhawks vs Panthers Preview
Florida has managed only five goals in their last four consecutive losses, however being back home is most likely what the Dr has ordered. Another possible boost, the Panthers are expected to get one of their top defensemen, Aaron Ekblad, back after a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury.
