1/22/16 Expert Hockey Predictions Tonight
Detroit Red Wings vs Buffalo Sabres
NHL Starting Goalies
- Detroit Red Wings -> Petr Mrazek
Petr Mrazek will be the Red Wings’ starter tonight, again as Jimmy Howard blows. Mrazek has allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last six games. He has a 2.10 goals against average and .931 save percentage in 31 games this season.
Mrazek is 16-13 with a 2.10 goals against average overall, including 10-4 with a 2.01 goals against average on the road, while vs the Sabres in his career he is 4-1, but with an awful 3.04 goals against average. However, take that with a grain of salt, this was before
Mrazek became a legit starting goaltender this season. Bumping that clown Howard onto the bench.
- Buffalo Sabres -> Robin Lehner
Robin Lehner will start for the Buffalo Sabres tonight. This will be Lehner’s third start since returning from a high ankle sprain that cost him roughly half the season. He also he was solid in his first two games since returning, he’s still pathetically searching for his first victory with Buffalo.
Lehner is 6-6 with a 2.10 goals against average at home, while vs the Red Wings in his career he’s 2-2 with a 2.77 goals against average.
