Washington Capitals vs New York Rangers Game 7 NHL Hockey Pick Prediction Tonight For May 13th 2015
We all know about the Ovechkin guarantee, a win in-game 7. Tonight will determine if his guarantee will hold up and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out. Ovechkin has been distant the last few games allowing the Rangers to force a game 7. Makes you wonder if some players are paid to relax in certain games, you know, to boost ratings and their reputation as the comeback player of the series.
Braden Holtby has been Braden Holtby and will be a great goaltender in the NHL for a very long time at the start of his young career. He has been cool under pressure and has made remarkable saves throughout the 2015 NHL playoffs.
Pressure’s On New York
Believe it or not, despite the collapse from Washington, the Rangers will have all the pressure on their shoulders tonight. At home and having that Ovechkin guarantee floating in their minds, they are bound to make a few mistakes tonight. I am not saying Ovechkin’s words are getting in their heads, but I am sure it’s floating around the coaches heads.
Rangers made it to the finals last season and since they started the regular season they have been touted to make it back to the finals. That’s a very big load of stress, however the Rangers have handled it very well up until this point.
Henrik Lundqvist seems to get better and better as each game passes, which is odd. I didn’t think a goalie with his skill set could get any better. Outside of goaltending and the defense, the offense seems to be their downfall.
Scoring has not been there much in this series. Nash has been quiet, but Kreider did step up scoring 2 goals in-game 6, Nash even netted one finally. The momentum should be on New York’s side tonight, but pressure will also be on their side as well
NHL Hockey Pick Prediction
I don’t have an official pick in this match-up, this game could go one of two ways. One team will come out flat much like Montreal did last night or one team could come out strong much like Tampa did last night. If I had a gun to my head, I would take the Rangers to win, at home. That seems to be the trend so far when a home team has a chance to advance.
