Calgary Flames vs Anaheim Ducks Betting Pick
Calgary Flames vs Anaheim Ducks Betting Pick 11/24/15 – Calgary is riding on a 2 game winning streak, something they are not used to and look to keep it going at home tonight against Anaheim. With an 8-12-1 record they have been one of the league’s bigger disappointments but they are trending in the right direction finally and with a victory in this one they could jump ahead of Anaheim in the standings and move into fifth place.
Calgary has not been a good offensive team this year as they rank 23rd in the league in scoring (2.4 goals per game) and 28th when on the power play (14.3%). At the defensive end they are 30th in goals allowed (3.5 goals per game) and 28th in the penalty kill (74.6%)
The Ducks currently remain three games under .500 and sadly support a 5-3-2 record. They have the weapons to succeed but in my eyes this seems to be another Bruce Boudreau effect. He shined then failed in Washington, and here he goes again in Anaheim. The Ducks have weapons but they are not being utilized correctly. Or maybe the players have blocked Bruce out?
As it currently stand the Ducks are 29th in scoring, putting up just 1.8 goals per game. LOL
- Calgary Flames – Karri Ramo
Ramo stopped 18 of 19 shots in the Flames win over the Blackhawks last Friday. Ramo has won three of his last four while posting a 1.99 GAA and .930 SV%. Overall he has a 3.04 GAA and .901 SV% on the year, but that has translated into a 6-7-0 record.
- Anaheim Ducks – Anton Khudobin
Khudobin stopped all 11 shots that he faced after replacing Frederik Andersen in the Ducks loss in Nashville last Tuesday. Khudobin has gone 3-3-0 with a 2.44 GAA and .917 SV% in six starts plus that relief appearance this season.
Calgary Flames vs Anaheim Ducks Betting Pick 11/24/15
It is evident that a lot of games are staying under the totals but it is still early in the season and a lot of teams are showing that they are conserving their offensive power for later in the season.
Both of these teams are struggling on offense and I personally like both goaltenders in this matchup. The Ducks should keep the Flames along the boards only allowing shots from the outside and the Ducks will most likely just try to capitalize on the Flames mistakes while on the fore-check but still the Flames goaltender is legit and rebounds very well.
