Ryan Miller turned aside 46 of 49 shots in Vancouver’s 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers. Days after the Canucks gave up 48 shots to the Islanders, Miller was peppered with 49 shots against the Rangers including three in overtime. His record falls to 11-12-7 to go along with a 2.69 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage. Miller is 1-1-1 in his last three starts since his return from a lower-body-injury.
Miller is 6-12 with a 2.86 goals against average on the road, plus he is 27-16 with a 2.55 goals against average in his career vs Boston.
- Boston Bruins -> Tuukka Rask
Tuukka Rask stopped 38 of 39 shots in Tuesday’s 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Rask and the Bruins avenged their ugly Winter Classic loss to these same Canadiens. He has a 16-13-4 record with a 2.45 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage in 28 games this season.
Rask is 8-10 with a 2.91 goals against average at home and is 2-4 with a 2.27 goals against average in his career vs Vancouver.
