Boston Bruins vs Detroit Red Wings Preview Pick Odds 11/25/15 – Montreal Canadiens vs New York Rangers Free Pick Tonight 11/25/15
Much can be taken from the back to back Bruins victory over the awful Leafs. Either the Bruins are back or the Leafs still suck, either way Boston sits 3rd in the league in scoring averaging 3.3 goals per game and are scoring on 32.3 percent of their power plays. First in power play conversions, while on defense they are 25th in goals allowed 3.0 goals allowed per game and 28th in penalty kill.
Brad Marchand leads the team with 10 goals, somehow he can see over that monstrous nose on his face. David Krejci has 14 assists and Patrice Bergeron has 66 shots on goal.
Whoever Teemu Pulkkinen is, he has 6 goals this season for Detroit. The only Teemu I know wrote a book about the worst coach in the NHL. And it’s not Pulkkinen.
The Detroit Red Wings are averaging 2.3 goals per game and are scoring on 17.9 percent of their power plays. Which is straight trash, and watching this team makes you want to slice your eyes out. Then again it’s not as bad as watching the Flyers.
Speaking of trash, Jimmy Howard is now 5-5 with a 2.34 goals against average on the year. Howard will NOT get the start tonight but he is 5-3 with a 2.25 GAA vs Boston in his career. Yeah big deal, he still blows and I highly doubt he will be able to handle the recent high scoring Bruins tonight. Which is why Mrazek is starting LOL!
The Red Wings check in at just 24th in the league in scoring 2.3 goals per game, 29th in shots taken and 20th in power play conversions, while on defense they are 11th in goals allowed 2.5 goals per game and 8th in penalty kill. No, this is not because of Howard, believe it or not the Wings have a decent defense. Probably because that’s all they know how to play this season.
Boston Bruins – Tuukka Rask
Detroit Red Wings – Petr Mrazek
Mrazek gave up two goals on 37 shots in the Red Wings win over the Kings last Friday. The win snapped a short two-game losing skid for Mrazek, who continues to play extremely well this season. Overall he is 6-4-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .935 SV% on the season, but tonight he faces the Bruins at home, where he is 2-1-1 with an impressive 1.43 GAA and .952 SV% – Great numbers but let’s not forget, this is still Mrazek. He is not consistent.
Boston Bruins vs Detroit Red Wings Prediction 11/25/15
