On Sunday I asked if Brendan Shanahan would hammer Jordin Tootoo, looks like he did. I honestly knew deep down inside he would suspend Tootoo, just because of what happened between Milan Lucic and Ryan Miller.
Between both incidents, to me, Lucic’s hit looked more suspendable. Lucic raised his elbow and literally sent Miller in the air doing a flip. Sure, Miller came out of the net, but wasn’t Lucic still driving the net hard?
Now here is the incident with Jordin Tootoo.
What looks worse to you? After all, Miller did get a concussion from the NON suspendable play…
And what really bothers me the most about all of this. Not the fact that Tootoo should have NOT been suspended, but how the Bruins get such special treatments from the NHL.
COME THE PUCK ON SHANAHAN, IF YOU SUSPEND ONE PLAYER, YOU HAVE TO SUSPEND THE OTHER!
Remember last season when Zdeno Chara destroyed Max Pacioretty? Check out the article here on why Chara really got away with it.
Too bad the Predators don’t have the pull like the Bruins do.
As Joe Thornton once said “The Bruins receive special treatments from the NHL”
NOW THAT IS A PUCKING FACT!
As for driving hard to the hit, you know, where the goalie stands with the most pads on, you are NOT allowed to do that. If you are a player and you have the opportunity to drive the net hard and possibly score, just go behind the net and look to make a pass. Otherwise, you will be hearing from the almighty Brendan Shanaban!
