Carolina Hurricanes vs Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction 12-28-16
Can the Canes take down a red-hot Penguins home record? It may very well be possible, but most likely doubtful?
Carolina Hurricanes Preview
Carolina surprisingly has been about okay this season. The trade of Eric Staal has allowed for more cap space and more opportunities for the newcomers to prove what they have in the tank.
Veteran goaltender Cam Ward continues to play well between the crease and behind this young Canes squad. He is 4-11 on the road but 16-11 with 2.22 goals against average versus the Penguins. So far this season Ward supports 2.24 goals against average with a 12-14 road record.
Pittsburgh Penguins Preview
Matt Murray will get the call tonight with an incredible 13-4 with 2.14 goals against average. His record is stellar due to the Penguins in front of him winning nonstop at home. With a 13-4 record, his goals against is too high for my liking.
If you are thinking about backing the Hurricanes, check yourself into the mental institution now. Take the Penguins at home, always.
