Eddie Lack stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced on Thursday night to boost the Canes to a 4-1 victory over St. Louis. Lack improves to 6-7-3 this season with a .894 save percentage and 2.84 goals against average.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 20 of 25 shots in Friday’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 31-year-old has a 15-11-5 record with a 2.35 goals-against-average and a .923 save percentage.
Vancouver Canucks at New York Islanders
Ryan Miller (confirmed) vs Jaroslav Halak (confirmed)
Ryan Miller did all he could against the Eastern Conference’s top offense, but ultimately allowed three goals on 39 shots in the Canucks 4-1 loss to Washington. Miller is now 10-12-6 this season with a .910 save percentage and 2.75 goals against average
Look for Roberto Luongo to get the start Sunday afternoon when the Panthers face off against their Florida rivals, the Lightning. Luongo is having a magical season. He boasts a 19-12-4 record with a 2.18 goals against average and .927 save percentage.
Bishop got Friday night’s game against Pittsburgh off so he should be plenty rested to face the Cats on Sunday. For the season, Bishop has a very fine 2.00 goals against average and a .925 save percentage
New York Rangers at Washington Capitals
Antti Raanta (confirmed) vs Braden Holtby (confirmed)
The New York Rangers will start Antti Raanta on Sunday. Raanta will be given the unenviable task of playing against Washington. He has a 2.08 GAA and .919 save percentage in 11 contests in 2015-16
The Habs played Saturday against St. Louis and Mike Condon was in the cage. Montreal coach Michel Therrien could opt to start Scrivens in the second game of those back-to-back contests.
Corey Crawford will get the start against Montreal on Sunday. He got Friday night off against the Maple Leafs as Scott Darling tended goal in a 4-1 win. Thursday night Crawford was nothing short of spectacular stopping 39 shots, many of the impossible variety, in a 2-1 win, against Montreal and the Habs will have a tough time getting Crawford out of their collective heads in time for Sunday’s contest.
Philadelphia Flyers at Detroit Red Wings
Steve Mason (confirmed) vs Petr Mrazek (confirmed)
Look for Petr Mrazek to get the start Sunday against the Flyers. He has been much better than Jimmy Howard for much of the season. Mrazek will take a 16-8-3 record, a 2.15 goals against average and a .930 save percentage into the contest.
Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks
Jonathan Quick (confirmed) vs John Gibson (confirmed)
