December 4th 2015 NHL Hockey Free Pick Stars vs Oilers
12/4/15 Expert handicapping service Pucking Hockey free pick and prediction provided by myself Georgios. December 4th 2015 NHL Hockey Free Pick Stars vs Oilers.
Dallas Stars Preview
Last night the Stars rebounded and got the win on the road in Vancouver. In reality everyone’s beating up on the Oilers. Kari Lehtonen returned from injury and although the Canucks scored 30 seconds into the game, Lehtonen did not let his emotions get the best of him. Unlike Cam Ward the other night, pucking prick.
On offense the Stars are averaging 3.5 goals per game and are scoring on 25.3 percent of their power plays. Jamie Benn leads Dallas with 18 goals, Tyler Seguin has 21 assists and Jason Spezza has 83 shots on goal. This team’s offense is no pucking joke, and how about their defense!? They are allowing 2.6 goals per game and are killing 81.8 percent of their power play chances.
Look at the backend, they have two consistent goaltenders. Although I don’t believe neither have the stamina to stay number one, however Lindy Ruff is playing Niemi and Lehtonen the correct way. Antti Niemi has allowed 41 goals on 447 shots faced and Kari Lehtonen has given up 25 goals on 306 shots.
Edmonton Oilers Preview
Bottom line, they pucking blow, as a matter of fact they are the team other teams blow away.
The Oilers came back home after a long road trip and beat Boston 3-2 in their last game. They played with more heart and energy in the game and it paid off with the 3-2 win in a shootout. Scoring for the Oilers in regulation was Mark Letestu (3rd) and Matt Hendricks (2nd), while it was Jordan Eberle who scored the lone goal in the shootout for the win. Good to see a first overall pick score…
The Oilers check in at 19th in the league in scoring 2.4 goals per game and 19th in power play conversions, while on defense they are 27th in goals allowed 3.0 goals allowed per game and 19th in penalty. These numbers will only get worse as the season goes on.
