Devils vs Panthers Hockey Prediction 3-31-16
NHL Starting Goalies 3-31-16 New Jersey Devils vs Florida Panthers Profitable Hockey Prediction and Winning NHL Pick. With complete analysis for daily hockey betting advice.
The Panthers will host the Devils at home tonight, hoping to pick up some momentum again. Both teams have experienced loss lately, Florida falling to Toronto on Tuesday, and the Devils stopping a two game losing streak by beating the Bruins earlier in the week. The Panthers are 5-2 in their last seven home games against the Devils, and New Jersey could struggle against Florida’s offensive game. If history continues to repeat itself, it could be Florida’s game to lose Thursday night.
The Devils (37-32-8) could have their favorite goaltender back tonight in Cory Schneider, who’s been out since the beginning of March with a knee injury. Schneider almost returned against Boston earlier in the week, but didn’t make an appearance, making it even more likely that he’ll suit up tonight. They’ll need Schneider to really pull off a great performance, though, to keep their playoff dreams alive. They are currently five points away from a playoff spot, and only have five games left in the regular season to catch up. They’ll need to grasp as many points as possible to catch up at this point. While it’s not impossible, it’ll be an uphill battle every step of the way.
The Panthers (42-25-9) are tied with Tampa Bay for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, a battle that’s been teetering back and forth for quite some time now. Still, even though they’re not solo in the top spot, the Panthers have to be proud of the hockey they’re playing lately, with an offensive team that’s on fire. They’ll also have Luongo in the net, who has stopped 54 of 56 shots in Florida’s last two games. Against a struggling New Jersey team, that combination could be a big problem for the Devils.
