Free Hockey Pick Puck Possession Stats Hurricanes vs Rangers
Free Hockey Pick Puck Possession Stats Hurricanes vs Rangers Free Pick and Prediction 11/30/15 – It’s no secret that Henrik Lundqvist is upset with his team in terms of puck possession. (not my favorite goalie 🙂 I made a chart of players on the Rags proving how horrific their time of possession really is. Now as for the percentages, they are based off of 5 on 5 play.
As you can see by looking at the chart their first player in the ENTIRE league ranks at 341st defenseman Keith Yandle with one of two players in the 50% tile. Between 341st and 677th they do have 6 defenseman which are all of their starters along with 11 forwards. Which are also top players on this Rangers squad, now let’s compare to Carolina’s time of possession.
|72||D. MICHAEL LILES||56|
|78||F. R. NASH||56|
|99||F E. STAAL||55|
|164||D. J. STAAL||54|
Uhh, much better than the Rangers and with these rankings it takes a lot of pressure off of Cam Ward, who is arguably a top 8 goaltender in the league. Especially since Carolina has Excellent defenseman rankings much higher than the Rangers defenseman along with a much better time of possession percentage. The lowest being only 53% the highest being 58%
With these stats it does not take a genius to figure out which goaltender has the easier schedule. Head coach Alain Vigneault coached the same exact style in Vancouver. He is strictly all offense, I don’t think he knows a thing about defense. And sure it works coming out the gates, but last week was an indication they have been exposed and time of possession has hurt them and Lundqvist’s numbers.
Free Hockey Pick With Time Of Possession Stats Hurricanes vs Rangers 11/30
If the Rangers keep playing this way Carolina has a legitimate chance at winning the game tonight. Now this pick is based all around time of possession which as you should know, is a BIG key in winning hockey games.

As you can see these trends does not favor Carolina however what has made be successful in hockey betting/investing is that I ignore trends like the one’s mentioned above. Especially since they are an entire season based stats. They are not based week to week, and with how exposed the Rangers were last week, well you get my point.
Carolina Hurricanes – Cam Ward
New York Rangers – Henrik Lundqvist
Vegas has the Rangers sitting at -180 on the money line odds and this is the biggest sucker bet I think I have seen this season. But as I mention as long as time of possession stays the way it has, Carolina has a chance of winning in New York. I do not invest in odds any more than -140 and will gladly take Carolina +160 to win tonight.
Carolina Hurricanes +160 (risking $100 to profit $160)
