Thursday 12/17/15 NHL Starting Goalies Tonight. Free Hockey Picks Today. Hockey Prediction San Jose Sharks vs Toronto Maple Leafs December 17th
San Jose Sharks Preview
Thanks to the Canadiens polaying like shit, the Sharks defeated them 3-1 in their last game. A six game losing streak in Montreal but ike the Sharks were riding a six game losing streak until it was snapped.
Sharks reminder Martin Jones, who saved 26 shots to break a personal five game losing streak in Montreal. Jones is now 13-11 with a 2.24 goals against average on the year and he has been very strong on the road this year, going 10-4 with a 1.91 goals against average away from home. For a goalie I am high on, these numbers are not too shabby from the good American boy.
- San Jose is 6-1 in their last seven vs. the Atlantic
- San Jose is 76-33 in their last 109 when their opponent allows five goals or more in their previous game
Toronto Maple Leafs Preview
The Leafs almost pulled off the victory against Tampa the other night. Too bad they lost 5-4 in overtime. My personal most hated player James Van Riemsdyk has 9 goals on the season. Yes, he is American and I love my American players but this particular American is not using his body to his capability. He’s a big kid and needs to start using that body. Hit people, hit them into next week and the puck will come to you even easier.
Goaltender Jonathan Bernier still has not a single win. He’s 0-10 with a 3.45 goals against average. Allowing more than four goals or more in five straight games now, that’s beyond pathetic. He keeps this up, he will end up in the AHL for the remainder of his soon to be a short career. Garret Sparks is 3-1 with a 2.21 goals against average this year.
The Leafs check in at 28th in scoring 2.2 goals per game and 14th on the power play 18.7%, while on defense they are 19th in goals allowed 2.7 goals per game and 19th in the penalty killing department.
- Toronto is 7-21 in their last 28 after allowing five goals or more in their previous game
- Toronto is 17-38 in their last 55 when their opponent allows two goals or less in their previous game.
