LA Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction 9-21-17
If you told me before the start of the season that the Rams would be dressing up as favorites in three consecutive games. I would have said no way possible. Not this team.
On the other side, the Rams improved this offseason, but the public took advantage of the overreaction to their week one blowout win over the Colts.
The Rams have been favorites in three consecutive games on 23 occasions since 1983. And they stand 7-15-1 ATS in the 3rd leg of being a favorite.
Including 0-5 ATS following a loss.
L.A.s newest adopted son is also just 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS in division games on Thursdays. Meanwhile, winless NFL 1st year coaches (Kyle Shanahan) are 8-4 ATS in Game Three of the season since 2010.
The kicker, though, is the Rams’ atrocious 1-14 SU and 3-12 ATS record in their last fifteen road openers.
San Francisco won each of the last three meetings including last year’s 28-0 blowout win in the opener here. San Francisco comes in off the solid effort at Seattle last week, but their offense has only managed 6 ppg so far. Albeit it came against two outstanding defenses in Carolina and Seattle.
- San Francisco 49ers +3 or better (risking $550 to profit $500)
