Tuukka Rask made 38 saves in the Bruins’ 2-1 overtime loss to the Senators on Saturday night. He gave up the game’s first goal in the first period, and then the final one at 4:22 of overtime. He has a 2.51 goals against average and .915 SV% this season.
And has a 3.29 goals against average over a 0-2-1 stretch but has a 1.90 goals against average on a 6-1-0 run against the Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist allowed four goals on 31 shots in Saturday’s 4-3 OT loss to the Capitals. The Rangers had a 3-2 lead late in the third, but Caps center Nicklas Backstrom tied the game with six seconds remaining. Alex Ovechkin beat Lundqvist in overtime to give Washington the win. Lundqvist has an 18-11-4 record with a 2.54 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage.
Lundqvist vs Boston in his career he has gone 21-14 with a 1.97 goals against average.
Boston Bruins Preview
The Bruins’ inconsistency begins with scoring. They have been held to one goal or less in four of the last eight games, and seven of the 19 scored in that span came in one game. There’s been some inconsistency among their lines with David Krejci missing the last five games with an upper-body injury, while Brad Marchand returned against Ottawa from a three-game suspension.
Boston ranks 3rd overall in scoring, potting up 3.0 goals per game, while converting on 28.3% of their power play chances, which ranks 1st overall in the league. On defense Boston has been improving as the season has gone on and they come in ranked 17th in goals allowed, giving up 2.7 goals per game, while allowing teams to convert on just 17.4% of their power play chances, which is 7th in the league.
New York Rangers Preview
The Rangers ranks 4th overall in scoring, potting 2.9 goals per game, while converting on 18.8% of their power play chances, which is ranked 14th overall in the chel. On the defensive end of the ice it really hasn’t been pretty of late as they have allowed 4.08 goals per game in their last 12 games. Overall they are 15th in goals allowed 2.6 goals per game and 17th in penalty kill 80.1%
New York’s Henrik Lundqvist has given up at least two goals in 11 straight games while going 4-5-1 with a 3.78 goals-against average and has lost his last five games versus Boston with a 3.85 mark.
