Niklas Kronwall – Detroit Red Wings
Red Wings’ Niklas Kronwall has ‘mild concussion’ after being hit from behind by Avalanche forward Cody McLeod.
Kronwall was injured two minutes into the 4-2 victory Thursday at Pepsi Center. “Tough situation for him, anytime you get hit like that, you’re out cold,” Wings coach Mike Babcock said. “You’re scared to say the least.”
Kimmo Timonen – Philadelphia Flyers
Timonen appeared in 19 shifts through the first two periods of play and posted 13 minutes of ice time, before leaving the game. He has played in all seven games so far this season, going scoreless and recording 21:43 of ice time to lead all defensemen and second-most on the team, behind only Claude Giroux (22:04).
Max Pacioretty – Montreal Canadiens
Pacioretty was injured in the first period in Tuesday’s contest with the Jets.
