Anisimov has missed the last three games because of a lower-body injury but will return to the lineup tonight when the Blue Jackets take on Chicago.
Toronto Maple LEafs
Lupul is nearing a return but he is not quite ready to go. He should be back in the lineup shortly, monitor his status prior to the Leafs game on Saturday.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Lecavalier was hurt Tuesday late vs Panthers. At the time we were told he was fine but Tampa Bay is always secretive about injuries. He is likely to go on IR according to the Lightning which means Vinny will miss at least a week of hockey. This is a tough break for the Lightning who will lose their captain and his 22 points in 26 games.
Ruutu (hip) has not played a game this season but he is working towards a return. He likely won’t be back for at least another week but when he returns he will certainly help the Hurricanes up front. It is not a question of talent for Ruutu it is about staying healthy. Ruutu has missed 106 games over the last five seasons due to injury but when healthy he had 34 points in 72 games last season.
Poti will draw back into the lineup tonight a Cam Schilling will be out. Poti has just two assists in 13 games this season.
Winger Patrick Sharp expected to skate today or tomorrow as he recovers from shoulder injury. Sharp’s timetable for recovery was 3-4 weeks but it looks like he might be ahead of schedule. He still isn’t expected to be back anytime soon.
Tyler Ennis says he’s feeling better, hopes to play vs OTT on Saturday afternoon. Ennis missed the Sabres last game with a head injury he suffered during a hit vs. Philadelphia.

LW Brenden Morrow (groin) officially out tonight vs. Ducks, DAL coach Glen Gulutzan said. Morrow will miss his third game in a row tonight. Morrow skated this morning and it looked as if he might be in the lineup, but that is not the case. He should be back in the lineup Saturday vs. Chicago.
Center Jamie Benn (wrist) officially out tonight vs. Ducks, DAL coach Glen Gulutzan said. Benn will miss his second straight game with a wrist injury tonight.
