Cincinnati Reds vs Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Predictions 6-20-17
It will be Amir Garrett on the mound for the Cincinnati Reds, and he’s a train wreck this season. With an ERA approaching in the seven’s, it’s hard to predict if he’s ever going to have a solid start. From the end of May up until now, Garrett allowed six, seven and nine earned runs in three consecutive starts.
Garrett has yet to pitch past the 5th inning this season and comes into this game with a 1.55 WHIP. However, batters are only hitting .268 against him. Which proves, this Cincinnati defense is just as dismal.
For the Tampa Bay Rays, Alex Cobb gets the ball this evening, seeking his 6th victory of the season. He comes into this one against the Reds 5-5 supporting a solid 4.17 ERA. Over his last two starts, he’s given up just three earned runs making it past the 6th inning each time.
However, Cobb supports a 1.39 WHIP and went through a stretch where he allowed 15 earned runs over three starts.
