March 21st on a Saturday and here at Pucking Hockey we have a NHL hockey prediction between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators. Who will win tonight?
Toronto Maple Laffs
Words can only go so far when it comes to the Maple Laffs. So what’s the point of wasting more words and time on them? I wrote an article about how we have had Phaneough of Dion and how Nazeem Kadri is another casualty of the Leafs. Read them, enjoy.
Toronto has been outscored 68-25 in non-shootout goals in dropping 20 of 21 on the road. The Leafs have managed one or no goals in 15 of those games.
The Hamburglarand the Pesky Sens
It’s about time Ottawa found their game, I have been riding their ass for 3 seasons now and I think it’s finally going to start paying off. I am already predicting them to make the playoffs, and when Florida beats Boston tonight, the Senators will find themselves in control of their destiny.
Ottawa’s on a 5 game winning streak and haven’t won six in a row since Oct. 20-30, 2011.
Hammond is 12-0-1 with a 1.55 goals-against average since getting called up from Binghamton. His streak of allowing two or fewer goals in each of first 12 career starts was snapped, leaving him tied with Hall of Famer Frank Brimsek for the NHL record set in 1938.
NHL Starting Goalies
Toronto Maple Laffs – Does it matter?
Ottawa Senators – Andrew Hammond
NHL Hockey Prediction
Last game Hammond allowed 4 goals and some will say he has come back to earth. He will bounce back tonight and get a lot of scoring support in front of him. Take the Senators in a blow out win tonight.
Ottawa Senators -1.5 (risking $500 to profit $710) (odds are set at +142 on the puck line)
