Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars Prediction (1/15/15)
This is our TOP RATED NHL PICK OF THE MONTH and if you’re interested in winning BIG tonight be sure to take advantage of what we are offering.
Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars Prediction
Ondrej Pavelec will be in between the pipes tonight for the Winnipeg Jets and that did not go over too well for the Winnipeg faithful. He’s been below mediocre this season and with Michael Hutchinson right up his ass he is going to have to start producing. Or else he’s a goner.
The only reason the Jets are relevant this season is because they have had to keep scoring to keep up with the other teams due to Pavelec forgetting how to stop the puck. The Jets are coming off of an 8-2 blowout over Florida thanks to center Mathieu Perreault’s goals. Yes, you read that right, he scored 4 goals a career high for Perreault.
The Jets came together in the first meeting with Dallas (19-16-7) this season, scoring all of their goals in the first two periods of a 5-2 road win Dec. 9. Perreault had a goal and Byfuglien recorded two assists.
Visiting the defensively challenged Dallas Stars on Thursday night gives Winnipeg an ample opportunity to continue their recent surge of scoring. But expect the Dallas Stars to come out with an answer tonight shutting down their recent surge. At least Dallas fans better hope so.
Dallas has allowed at least four goals four times in the last five games but managed to score enough to beat visiting Ottawa 5-4 and snap an 0-2-2 slide Tuesday. Despite the high goal total, Tyler Seguin failed to register one for the ninth time in 10 games while Jamie Benn didn’t score for the eighth time in that span.
Seguin, tied for the NHL lead with 26 goals, and Benn, second on the team with 12, didn’t skate on the same line at Wednesday’s practice. Which is always a good thing I believe in breaking up chemistry throughout the season. Players in this league tend to get burned out with one another but once reunited, the chemistry comes back.
Ales Hemsky has been a bright spot for Dallas with three goals in four games and five in the last eight. He didn’t score in his first 21 contests.
Winnipeg Jets – Ondrej Pavelec
Pavelec surrendered four goals on 43 shots in Sunday’s shootout loss in Anaheim. Pavelec has lost each of his last four starts while allowing four goals in each contest and posting a .906 SV%. Tonight he will take on a Stars team who are averaging four goals per game in their last nine contests.
Dallas Stars – Anders Lindback
Lindback stopped 34 of 36 shots that he faced after replacing Kari Lehtonen in the Stars come-from-behind win over the Senators on Tuesday. It was Lindback’s best performance of the season, which looks like it earned him the start tonight vs. the visiting Winnipeg Jets. Lindback has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.84 GAA and .871 SV% at home this year.
