Wyoming Cowboys vs Iowa Hawkeyes Prediction 9-2-17
Wyoming’s QB Josh Allen is back this season, and yes, he is good. Well, he was last season, when he had talent at the WR position. Of that talent, Allen lost Gentry, Mauldart and TE Hollister. Only one WR returns this season, and this will most likely destroy Allen’s numbers.
Speaking of offense, Wyoming also lost RB Brian Hill to the NFL.
As for Iowa, the key for a victory this afternoon will be if their run game can take chunks off the clock keeping Allen off the field. And this could very happen considering Wyoming ranked 92nd in run defense last season. Adding even more to this offense, Iowa brings back one of the best offensive lines in college football.
QB Josh Allen is 7-2 ATS as an underdog, but, I still do not like Wyoming’s chances in this matchup. They lost too much talent, and their run defense will ultimately send them into the loss column. I also don’t expect QB Josh Allen getting much room to run in this game, Iowa will be rushing him nearly every down. Good luck.
- Iowa -12.5
